CAN MY JOB COVER THE COST OF MY LESSONS? PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS

Updated: Feb 19

Let's Talk Money: Your Job Could Fund Your Spanish Adventure!

Professional Development Funds - Spanish for work

Many of our clients have successfully accessed professional development funds to cover the cost of their Spanish programs with Fluency Lab.

If you're interested in this opportunity, this guide will help you through the process.

Seize the Opportunity

First things first – let's have a conversation with the person in charge of professional development at your workplace. Communicate your intentions about acquiring or improving your Spanish skills for work environments, and mention Fluency Lab's Spanish programs and how they can boost your career.

We have prepared this brochure for them to consider if this is an option for you.

Some Ideas to Mention about the Importance of Learning Spanish for Professional Development:

  • You can use Spanish to connect with Spanish-speaking clients, patients, or colleagues and offer better services.

  • You will gain a competitive edge in traveling, conducting business, or working in a multicultural environment.

  • Master Spanish will enhance cultural competence and improve your ability to manage and promote multicultural settings.

Get your Professional Development Funds

Once you have confirmed that your employer intends to support your education, there are different ways to access the benefits. One way is by purchasing the sessions needed to complete your personalized program (to find out how many you will need, please go to claim my free first 60-min session for an assessment). You can then get reimbursed by your employer for professional development expenses.

If that's the case, employers may only require proof of purchase for reimbursement. You can provide them with the invoice provided by Fluency Lab in your name for the total of your personalized program.

In case your employer prefers to directly pay for the registration, just provide us with the email address of the person to whom we should send the invoice. Also, clarify if the invoice should be addressed to you or your employer. Once your employer has made the payment, you will be given access to the platform to book your live sessions, complete the learning-style assessment, and access the program route with the extra materials.

Proof of Completion

This aspect is sometimes more useful to you than your employer. It helps you stay focused and can be a great opportunity to update your CV and your LinkedIn profile. While we can't officially certify your fluency level (for that, you will need to take a DELE exam, which is the only official exam accepted worldwide), we do certify that you have successfully completed the personalized program and can provide an overview of your achievements to your employer if required.

So, what are you waiting for? Investing in your professional development through our Spanish language programs can have a significant impact on your career trajectory. By developing your language skills, enhancing your cultural competence, and expanding your leadership abilities, you position yourself for success in today's globalized world. Don't miss out on the opportunity to learn Spanish and unlock a world of possibilities!
