OUR TEAM
Professional Spanish Teacher
Marcela brings together two of her biggest strengths: a love for language and a deep understanding of how professionals think and communicate. Originally trained in business and translation, she’s now completing her master’s in Applied Linguistics for Spanish as a Second Language.
At Fluency Lab, she works with learners from all kinds of industries, always adapting her sessions to real-life goals and practical communication. Whether it’s helping a vet speak with Spanish-speaking clients or guiding someone through the finer points of grammar, Marcela’s calm energy and thoughtful approach make learning feel clear, human, and genuinely useful.

Professional Spanish Teacher
Jorge brings a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and teaching expertise to our team. With a background that spans academic advising, and language instruction, he’s someone who understands both the structure and the spontaneity that great communication requires.
At Fluency Lab, he works with professionals looking to level up their Spanish through real conversations, always adapting to their pace and goals. Whether he’s helping learners prepare for an exam or guiding them through everyday workplace Spanish, Jorge’s sessions are clear, structured, and genuinely motivating.

Founder & Professional Spanish Teacher
Angela started Fluency Lab five years ago to fill a gap she kept noticing: professionals needed Spanish they could actually use at work—not generic lessons. With a background in Literacy Studies and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics for Teaching Spanish from Universidad Europea del Atlántico, she’s the mind behind our tailored programs for healthcare, construction, law, and social work.
Angela leads the design of each curriculum and makes sure every strategy we use is grounded in real, effective language learning—so our students can feel confident and capable in real-world conversations.

DANIEL DÍAZ
Professional Spanish Teacher & Content Collaborator
Daniel brings together language, teaching, and design in a way that makes learning feel both smart and enjoyable. He’s part of our tutoring team, but he also supports Fluency Lab’s content and visual design behind the scenes.
With experience teaching English at the National University of Colombia in Manizales and training staff at the University of the West Indies in Spanish, Daniel knows how to adapt to different learning goals and cultural contexts. Whether he’s leading a class or shaping a new resource, he brings calm energy, clarity, and a creative eye to everything he does.
